HOW TO JOIN?

All you need to do is head on over to our Steam page and install and play!

WHEN ARE THE SERVERS OPEN?

9am PDT Friday, June 5th - 5pm PDT Saturday, June 6th

The servers will be up throughout the whole period, but you may experience some slow matchmaking if you join during off-peak hours.

WHAT DO I GET?

If you download and play the game any time during the Open Beta period, you’ll unlock an exclusive, Retro Green Digimew skin! After that, she’s yours to keep forever.

WHAT’S NEW SINCE THE LAST ONE?

⚙️ Gameplay & Core Systems

• Matchmaking- The old manual server browser is gone! Jump straight into matches with streamlined matchmaking.
• Parties- Team up with friends to form a party and find a match together.
• Random Map Selection- Maps are now chosen at random to keep hostless lobbies running smoothly (map voting coming in a future update!).
• Lobby Perks- Try out perks and cause some mayhem in the lobby before the match begins.
• Diegetic Skin Selection- With the main menu gone, you now pick your skin in a more immersive, in-world way.
• Impostor Count- Locked to 2 Impostors, tuned from playtest data for the best possible experience.

✨ New & Updated Abilities

• Fireball (New)- Launch a fiery projectile at your foes.
• Grow (New)- Size up with the all-new Grow ability.
• Time Bubble (New)- Bend time to your advantage.
• Flamethrower- Now sets other players ablaze, sending them running and screaming uncontrollably!
• Ghost Spectate (New)- Ghosts can attach to living players to ride along and spectate.

📘 First-Time User Experience (FTUE) & Hints

• New Mini-Game Hint System- Approach any mini-game or pick up a related item and press X to reveal through-wall indicators pointing you exactly where to go.
• Task List Navigation- Click any task in your list to spawn the same indicators and find your way.

🧩 Mini-Game Updates

• Simplified & Streamlined- Various model and functionality updates to make tasks smoother and less tedious.
• Controller Support- Steadily rolling out full controller support; Temple mini-games are fully supported, with Arctic close behind.

🗺️ Map Updates

• Temple- New props and fresh locations added.
• Arctic- Updated, including new spots for some tasks.

🔊 Audio

• A huge wave of new sound effects and audio improvements across the entire game.

🖥️ UI & Controls

• Main Menu Removed- Get into the action faster with a fully streamlined, menu-free flow.
• New ESC Menu- Redesigned in-game menu.
• Lobby UI- Updated for a cleaner look.

WHAT’S NEXT ON THE ROADMAP?

If you can’t make it to this Open Beta (or you just can’t get enough Masters of Mayhem), never fear - we’re only a couple short weeks away from Steam Next Fest. Word on the street has it that we’ll be dropping a demo for the event.

JUNE 5TH - THE MIX LOS ANGELES

Those with keen vision may have noticed the banner on our store page. We’re currently featured as part of The Mix Summer Showcase event!

If you want to cause some mayhem with us ~in person~ (and are industry, press or a creator in town for Summer Game Fest), you can join us at the physical Media Indie Exchange event on rooftop of the Grammy Museum in DTLA!

• CAN I TYPE INSTEAD OF TALKING?

• DOES IT HAVE STEAM DECK SUPPORT?

Not yet, but it will in the future!
